Join us Thursday April 17, 2014 for “Public Policy and Congress: the staffer and lobbyist perspectives”

Come to Avon Williams Campus Training Room 1 this Thursday April 17 at noon, for TN-ASPA’s final “Third Thursday” get-together of the semester – Alexander R. CurrieAssociate Director of Federal Relations for Vanderbilt University, will speak on “Public Policy and Congress: the staffer and lobbyist perspectives.”  Mr. Currie’s past experience on Capitol Hill includes serving as staff assistant on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and senior legislative assistant to former Indiana Senator Richard Lugar.  Should be fascinating for all interested in policy, political science, and public affairs!  This talk is the final in our Spring 2014 series with the theme, “Public Service and Public Affairs.”

All Lunchtime Lectures are free and will take place this spring from noon to 1 pm in Training Room 1 at the Avon Williams Campus of Tennessee State University in downtown Nashville (map). (Training Room 1 is located on the third floor, off the Atrium.) Feel free to bring your lunch for these informal discussions. Parking is no longer be available at the Avon Williams Campus main lot; however, meters and lots are available in the surrounding downtown area. State employee parking lots are available nearby for those with permits.
