While many of our TN-ASPA events are open to all, there are advantages to joining the national ASPA organization – which includes, at no extra cost, membership in our local chapter, TN-ASPA!
There are reduced membership rates for students and new professionals, and for memberships with only electronic access to publications instead of print and electronic. Your membership supports both the national organization and our chapter, helping us to continue advancing excellence in public service here in Middle Tennessee.
Why join ASPA? ASPA members attend our annual symposia at reduced rates, and have the right to nominate and vote for recipients of our annual awards – as well as to nominate, vote for and serve on Executive Council or as officers. ASPA members receive the premier journal on public administration, PAR (Public Administration Review), as well as a print and online publication, PA Times, and an e-newsletter, The Bridge. Connecting practitioners, academics and students, these publications help keep you current with the latest developments in the area of public and nonprofit administration. ASPA members also have the opportunity to participate in online webinars for professional development. Read more about the benefits of membership.
How do I join? You can join online, or fill out this form for full membership or this one for new professional/student membership, and be sure to indicate us as your local chapter by writing “Tennessee (11)” in the “Select a Chapter” area. When we receive a roster from the national organization, we will add you to our contact list – but if you would like to let us know you have joined so that you hear about events right away, please drop us a line directly at tn.aspa@gmail.com.
